Advent 4211

The Advent 4211 is the OEM version of the MSI Wind shipped to the UK. Apart from aesthetic branding on the case and software included, the 4211 is exactly the same as the Wind in terms of hardware. Pre-installed on the machine is Windows XP SP3, various recovery tools and a lite version of Microsoft Works. The battery supplied with the 4211 as of August 2008 is a 2200mAh, a 3 cell version.

Appearance wise, the Advent 4211 is completely black except when opened up; everything on the inside of the netbook, except for the keyboard and on/off switch, is silver. On the back of the screen is the Advent logo and on the underside are the usual stickers for manufactured computers.

Because Advent is a brand owned by DSG International, it is sold only at the stores owned by DSG and can be found selling for £279.99 at Dixons, Currys and PC World.
